Marrakech Day 2

On the second day in Marrakech we had planned a cooking class at the luxurious Jnane Tamsna Hotel. The lovely Chef Bahija welcomed us with open arms and took us to the garden where we could pick some of the ingredients for our tagine recipe. Bahija showed us how to prepare four different dishes with a tagine. Meanwhile she told us some interesting stories and showed us the traditional Moroccan tea ritual. After an hour of waiting for dinner by the pool, our delicious tagine dishes were served in the garden of the hotel. What a day!

Marrakech Day 1

As you may know, I made a trip to Marrakech during the Easter weekend. Together with three awesome friends I discovered this impressive place full of contradictions. I'm so glad I had this experience! There was so much to see & so much to do... We had such a great time on this trip! We stayed at the lovely riad Dar73 with an amazing roof terrace (on the third picture you can see our view).

On the first day we payed a visit to the famous Jardin Marjorelle. This beautiful garden was created by the French artist Jacques Majorelle in the 1920s and 1930s and took him 40 years of dedication. The special shade of bold cobalt blue which he used extensively in the garden is named after him, Majorelle Blue. In 2010, the Fondation Pierre Berge - Yves Saint Laurent accepted the Jardin Majorelle as a part of its heritage.

I've never seen such large cacti in my life! Definitely worth a visit if you get the chance.

DIY Easter

This Sunday I got into the Easter mood & bought myself some fresh white eggs. They're already beautiful in their purest form with their matt white shell. For this Easter DIY I used some random stuff I collected at home like masking tape, some rope, a doily and some spray paint. I was positively surprised by the result! 

I'll be traveling to Marrakech this Thursday so I will be spending my Easter weekend in this beautiful city with friends, I can't wait!! Of course I'll share with you my experiences later on. I wish you all a lovely Easter!

A Happy Home

I've been having some busy but good weeks and haven't had the time to work on my blog at my new favorite desk! But I'll always come back to this place and I'm especially grateful for you guys taking the time to read my posts!

Today it's time for some Happy Home shots! A couple of weeks ago I made these pictures of our bedroom & this beautiful new blanket. The graphic blanket caught my eye a while ago at my parents place. I told my mother this blanket would have a much better life at our home and fortunately she agreed ;) As you can see our cat Def loves it as well...
